Hi guys,
Nice to meet with you all yesterday! I'm searching for a listening post solution for our junior team and haven't found anything suitable yet.
I'm really interested if anyone knows of a solution that will allow wireless headphones and input from an ipod or computer? Most of the solutions on the market are either CD-based or old technology, which I don't think is a good investment.
If you could place comments on this post by clicking the 'Comment' link below that would be appreciated.

I don't kinow of anything but if you find it let me know. We are currently using MP3 players ($40 each) and saving our stories onto a laptop so we can download them. Lynda
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynda
ReplyDeleteWe've done a couple of things:
ReplyDelete1. Purchased some cheapo MP3 players for learning support, these are about $40 each and seem at this stage reasonably easy and 'child-proof'.
2. Purchased some ipod nanos with the video camera in them AND the Belkin 'rockstar' which is basically a 5 port splitter for audio so kids can plug into the ipod nano or other device. I'll update you on how they are going once staff/kids have had a chance to use them for a while.
The ipod nanos look very easy to use, child-proof and very versatile. There are lots of ideas for using them across the curriculum. They are about $240 each which is more of an investment than a consumable!!!
